In Morioh, a fictional town in M-Prefecture, a wave of mysterious murders unsettles the community while a quiet, stubborn resilience settles over its residents. Jōsuke Higashikata is a quick-thinking, earnest second-year student who forms a fast friendship with Koichi Hirose when a chance encounter on the street reveals stubborn, almost uncanny powers as he helps fix Koichi’s bicycle. Their bond deepens as strange incidents begin to unfold around them, hinting at something larger and more dangerous than ordinary crime.
The duo’s world expands when they cross paths with Jōtarō Kujo, who appears claiming to be Josuke’s nephew and reveals a startling family truth: Josuke is the illegitimate son of the legendary Joseph Joestar. This exchange reveals another layer to the mystery—the existence of Stand psychic embodiments, with Jotaro displaying the formidable time-manipulating power of his Stand, Star Platinum. Though their initial encounter sparks confusion and a tense misunderstanding, Jotaro’s warning is clear: the killings are the work of a skilled Stand user, and Morioh is not yet safe.
Josuke soon identifies the menace he saw—the Stand user known as Angelo, officially Anjūrō Katagiri. Angelo’s aquatic Stand, Aqua Necklace, enters the Higashikata residence and performs a brutal strike that claims Ryōhei Higashikata, Josuke’s grandfather, just as Jotaro arrives to lend support. The family’s grief is cut short by danger, and a dramatic confrontation ensues. In a moment of clever cunning, Josuke lures Angelo into a trap by swallowing a rubber glove and using his own Stand, Crazy Diamond, to fuse the killer into a rock. Angelo’s confession confirms that his power was granted by an arrow wielded by another high school student, deepening the mystery.
As Ryohei’s funeral sets the stage for a broader hunt, Josuke and Koichi tail a boy named Keicho Nijimura, who is Angelo’s ally, to a derelict house. Inside, they are ambushed by Keicho and his younger brother Okuyasu Nijimura. The brothers’ Stand battles begin in earnest: Okuyasu’s The Hand blocks Josuke, while Keicho uses Bad Company to strike at Koichi, forcing a desperate escape. Josuke’s resolve grows as he and Koichi fight to rescue their companion, with Okuyasu stepping forward to help despite the personal risk.
The confrontation intensifies when Keicho pushes Koichi to manifest his Stand, only to reveal Koichi’s Stand as an unusual, large egg and to unleash an immortal abomination that is revealed to be their father—the legacy of a troubled lineage tied to Dio Brando. Keicho Nijimura explains that he’s been building Stand users in the hope that one might end his father’s suffering, a goal that tests the limits of Josuke’s compassion and resolve. Josuke uses Crazy Diamond to repair a cherished family photograph, a small act that rekindles a spark of humanity in the Nijimura brothers and lends them a chance to choose a different future. Despite this, the elder Nijimura continues to press forward, hoping to secure the bow and arrow that governs these powers.
The tension erupts again as a hostile Stand—Sheer Heart Attack—arrives, and Keicho makes a selfless choice to shield Okuyasu from harm. This sacrifice marks a turning point for the group, reinforcing Josuke’s determination to shield Morioh from darkness and to safeguard those he cares about. After the dust settles, a renewed alliance forms: Josuke reunites with Jotaro to renew their vow to protect their town, while Koichi and Okuyasu stand by him, ready to face whatever comes next.
In a quiet coda, a mid-credits scene ominously points toward the manga’s broader antagonist: a house holds a paper bag containing a severed hand and an arrow, a grim reminder of Yoshikage Kira and the far-reaching threads that connect Morioh to a larger, darker world. The film closes with a renewed sense of purpose among the trio as they prepare to continue their guardianship of Morioh, standing together against the unknown forces that seek to tear their town apart.
