Jewelle: A Just Vision (2022): Cast

Jewelle: A Just Vision explores the connections between social movements, from the Civil Rights era to the fight for Marriage Equality. The documentary highlights radical Black and Indigenous feminist networks and thought, drawing inspiration from the art and activism of Jewelle Gomez, a lesbian elder with Ioway, African American, Wampanoag, and Cape Verdean heritage. Her life and work are interwoven with histories of Massasoit, family traditions, queer Black ancestors, and even slavery-era vampires, ultimately offering a vision of hope and regeneration.
