Jewel Thief - The Heist Begins 2025

After turning his back on his father, a doctor, the jewel thief Rehan Roy (Saif Ali Khan](/actor/saif-ali-khan)) embarks on a globetrotting spree, stealing luxurious treasures while being pursued by Indian Secret Service officer Vikram Patel (Kunal Kapoor). Currently hiding in Budapest, Rehan is under constant surveillance by operatives Chaddha (Chirjot Singh Kohli) and Shekhar (Vinay Sharma).

In a twist of fate, Rajan Aulakh (Jaideep Ahlawat), an art collector with a ruthless edge, finds himself in a precarious situation after killing his accountant Mr. Mehta (Ujjawal Gauraha) for exposing his dark financial dealings to Interpol, leading to a hefty loss of Rs 200 Crores. Striving to reform his image, Rajan learns about the Red Sun, known as the Kohinoor of Africa, which is set to be showcased in India, prompting him to reactivate his connections with Rehan.

Three years later, Rehan’s brother Avi (Gagan Arora) makes a shocking revelation regarding Rajan’s generous donation of Rs 10 Crores to their father Jayant (Kulbhushan Kharbanda), enabling him to create a charity hospital—a long-cherished dream. Avi soon learns from Rajan’s henchman, Chunky (Sumit Gulati), that these funds are tainted, leading to a grim threat against their father’s freedom. With unresolved tensions from the past when Rehan was disowned, Rajan expresses a desire to capture him.

This revelation compels Rehan to return to India to confront Rajan. He turns himself over to Chaddha but cleverly escapes during transport to Mumbai, only to be roped in by Rajan who seeks his aid in an audacious plan to steal the Red Sun from an impenetrable museum that showcases the gem worth over Rs 500 Crores. The jewel, housed in the Fortcrest Art Center, comes with state-of-the-art security equipped with a tricky laser system designed in Silicon Valley. Rehan’s plan involves hacking the museum’s mainframe to reset the laser system, rendering it inactive during the night hours.

Rehan’s relationship with Rajan’s wife Farah (Nikita Dutta](/actor/nikita-dutta)) blossoms amid the chaos, strengthening his resolve to protect her from Rajan’s brutal grasp. As they share strategies for the heist, they navigate dangerous waters. Together with Niki ([eenal Sahu), a hacker, they devise complex plans against the acute security measures while Vikram and his team are always one step behind, honing in on their every move.

Despite initial setbacks, including an abortive attempt during the planned museum heist, Rehan’s intricate tactics lead to innovative strategies as he plots another ambitious heist. With Rajan’s bloodthirsty ambitions for the Red Sun stirring, tensions escalate, pushing Rehan into a web of deceit, friendship, and betrayal. Farah’s involvement deepens their connection as they plan to steal the gem mid-flight from Prince Gamunu (Peter Muxka Manuel) when he is en route to London.

In an explosive turn, Rehan and Rajan enact their grand plan aboard the prince’s plane, leading to high-stakes developments as they threaten the flight crew and manipulate events to land in Istanbul. As their operation unfolds, Rehan utilizes clever deceptions, leading to the ultimate reveal where he not only pilfers the real jewel but also manages to outsmart Rajan, who has been spiraling deeper into madness.

Ultimately, Rajan’s demise is not only a product of his greed but also a well-orchestrated stratagem by Rehan, who escapes with the genuine Red Sun, carefully orchestrating a fake exchange with his accomplice Moosa.
