Two months later, Jessie finds herself bound to a wheelchair, grappling with her new reality.
With her grief still raw, she makes the painful choice to move in with her estranged father, Leon (/actor/david-andrews), in St. Francisville, Louisiana—a locale rich with memories of her late mother, Kate.
