In 3600 BC, a formidable mutant known as En Sabah Nur (Oscar Isaac), believed to be the first of his kind, rules over ancient Egypt. As his health deteriorates, Nur finds himself confronting death. Gifted with an array of destructive superhuman abilities such as Telekinesis, Cyberpathy, teleportation, and the power to enhance other mutants’ abilities, he resorts to an extreme measure during a ceremony where his consciousness is transferred into a younger mutant’s body. This new body possesses a healing factor that Nur desires for immortality.

However, betrayal lurks nearby as conspirators interrupt the transfer by cutting off sunlight, leading to the deadly loss of his followers, the Horsemen of Apocalypse. Nur is entombed while the pyramid collapses, but one devoted follower safeguards his new body within a protective casket to escape the destruction.

Fast forward to 1983, a cult that venerates Nur manages to locate his tomb and accidentally triggers his awakening by shining sunlight upon it. Upon emerging, Nur senses that humanity has strayed from its rightful path during his absence, causing a worldwide tremor as he devises a plan to reshape the world to his liking. To accomplish his goal, he enlists the aid of Ororo Munroe, also known as Storm (Alexandra Shipp), who has the power to manipulate the weather, and amplifies her abilities.

Meanwhile, in East Berlin, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence), a shapeshifting mutant also known as Mystique, discovers Angel (Ben Hardy), a mutant champion with feathered wings, alongside Kurt Wagner, or Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee), who possesses teleportation abilities. Together, they join forces with Caliban ([Tomas Lemarquis]), a black marketeer aiding their escape to America.

Nur goes on to recruit Psylocke ([Olivia Munn]), whose psychic energy projection abilities become pivotal as he leads them to Angel. In a dramatic turn of events, Nur enhances their powers, transforming Angel’s wings into metal. Back in America, Alex Summers, known as Havok ([Lucas Till]), learns that his younger brother Scott Summers, or Cyclops ([Tye Sheridan]), is developing his own destructive optic abilities. In pursuit of guidance, Alex enrolls Scott at the Xavier Institute for Gifted Youngsters, hoping that Professor Charles Xavier ([James McAvoy])—the world’s most powerful telepath—and Hank McCoy ([Nicholas Hoult]), also known as Beast, can help him.

There, Scott starts to bond with the telepathic and telekinetic Jean Grey ([Sophie Turner]). Meanwhile, Raven brings Kurt to the institute just as chaos erupts globally due to Nur’s power surges. Disturbed by the consequences, Professor X seeks help from CIA agent Moira MacTaggert ([Rose Byrne]), who shares valuable intel about Nur’s history—far surpassing what Xavier can comprehend.

As ominous nightmares plague Jean regarding an impending global crisis fueled by a dark power, they work to prevent it. In Poland, Erik Lehnsherr, or Magneto ([Michael Fassbender]), attempts to live a peaceful life with his wife Magda ([Carolina Bartczak]) and daughter Nina, but tragedy strikes when his family is killed. In retaliation, Erik unleashes his destructive powers after Nur finds him and rekindles their bond.

With Nur harnessing Xavier’s powers through an invasion of his mind, he manages to threaten global security, coercing all nuclear forces to self-destruct. In a desperate move, Nur and his elite followers seize Xavier, causing catastrophic repercussions back at the mansion, leading to its explosion.

Peter Maximoff, known as Quicksilver ([Evan Peters]), arrives in time to assist students in evacuating, but the fallout leads many to presume Alex is lost. In an effort to rescue their friends, Scott, Jean, and Kurt follow, liberating them with the help of Weapon X ([Hugh Jackman]), whose memories Jean revives.

As the climactic battle ensues, Nur intensifies destructive events across the globe, seeking to transfer his consciousness into Xavier to control every mind on Earth. With courage, Jean taps into her full potential, resulting in a fierce confrontation that ultimately leads to Nur’s defeat. In the aftermath, Xavier and Moira rekindle their relationship, while Erik’s reluctance to join the team creates emotional distance. As the newly formed X-Men, Hank and Raven embark on teaching the next generation of mutants, including Scott, Jean, Ororo, Kurt, and Peter.

In a thrilling post-credits scene, representatives from the Essex Corporation arrive at the Weapon X facility to collect critical data, hinting at future confrontations and the ever-evolving struggle for mutantkind.
