Israel Palestine on Swedish TV 1958-1989 (2025): Cast & Ratings

Television broadcasting began in Sweden in 1957, and the public service channel SV TV started reporting on the Israel‑Palestine conflict almost immediately. During its first ten years the reporting was largely favorable, highlighting Israel’s collective achievements in agriculture, housing, medicine and what was then openly described as colonisation. The coverage continued throughout the 1958‑1989 period.
