What Is Icarus About?
The premise of Icarus without spoilers.
Eight‑year‑old Matthias longs to become a pilot and hopes his divorced parents will reunite. He anticipates his ninth birthday, when his father, after recounting the myth of Icarus, promised a sightseeing flight. When his father fails to return, Matthias roams the city, confides in a friend, searches for his dad, clashes with police, and, perched on a roof, concludes that Icarus fell not because he disobeyed, but because his father forgot him.
