P. Arjun Prasad, the Hyderabad ACP, begins a slow unraveling after a accident that leaves him with partial memory loss. Before the crash, he was in a tense exchange with Commissioner of Police Mohan Bhargav, who hints that Arjun may have solved the murder of his best friend, ACP Aryan Dev, who fell to a sniper’s bullet during a gallantry awards ceremony at the police parade ground. The moment of truth never comes for Arjun, because the accident interrupts their conversation, leaving him with gaps that threaten to undermine the case he’s fought to crack.

In the days that follow, Arjun faces a brutal test of trust and loyalty. He is targeted by assassins at his apartment after being discharged, yet he manages to defend himself and survive. Mohan fills in parts of the puzzle, explaining the old bond among Arjun, Aryan, and another member of their unit, a trio that earned the nickname Mumbai Police due to their past work in the counterterrorism division. Despite his memory loss, Arjun’s reputation as a fearless, highly capable officer shines through, and Mohan decides to reassign him to the Aryan Dev case, hoping his instincts and experience will still guide him.

Yet the path ahead is rocky. Arjun struggles to adjust to a life that once came easily to him, and the strain begins to spill into his professional duties. A strange encounter at his apartment—an oddly behaving man who intrudes and leaves Arjun feeling unsettled—adds another layer of confusion to an already tangled investigation. In these moments, Arjun confronts a deeper, more personal truth: he is closeted about his sexuality, and the emotional weight of this revelation pushes him to tears as he processes the implications for his life and his work.

Seeking clarity, Arjun turns to Mohan and asks to access a full audio clip left on his voicemail before the accident, hoping it might illuminate what really happened that night. In a crucial flash of memory and emotion, Arjun recalls meeting Aryan’s fiancée, Nivetha, before the tragedy. She had shown Aryan’s award speech rehearsal, in which he dedicated the achievement to Arjun, a gesture that now resonates with new, unsettling meaning. The film then reveals a staggering twist: Arjun himself killed Aryan after uncovering Aryan’s own homosexuality and fearing that Aryan might expose or threaten him.

Overwhelmed by the revelation, Arjun confesses to Mohan. Mohan acknowledges the gravity of the situation but suggests there might still be a way to navigate the aftermath of the case.
