Harlan Woodriff [Randy Spelling] is a Salsa musician from Wyoming on a road trip to Los Angeles to realize his dream of making it big as a percussionist. He carries with him a troubled past, including the memory of his father found dead in a frozen fishing hole, a moment that has shaped his resolve and temperament as he pushes toward the big city. The journey becomes momentous when he crosses paths with Jude [Jason Priestley], a career criminal on the run from two relentless hit men, Al [Mike Starr] and Dewayne Longfellow [Sean Blakemore], who are desperate to retrieve stolen merchandise from him. In a panic, Jude dumps the merchandise into Harlan’s bag and escapes, leaving Harlan suddenly tangled in a world he did not seek to join.

Harlan finds shelter at his Puerto Rican friend Carlo’s apartment, where fate introduces him to Tuesday [Diora Baird], a friend of Carlo. As Carlo departs town on a new assignment, Tuesday and Harlan are left to navigate the space they share, discovering an unexpected level of comfort in each other’s company. The night deepens as Harlan learns that Carlo cultivates marijuana at his home, a detail that adds a strain of tension to the already dangerous situation. When Harlan tries to light up, a panic attack overtakes him and he ends up in the hospital, forced to confront his own fears and uncertain future. After he recovers, Tuesday helps him return to the apartment, and the two end up spending the night together, a small beacon of trust and connection amid a perilous chase.

Back on the street, Al and Dewayne close in on Jude, who finally confesses that the bag the hit men are chasing is in Harlan’s possession. The revelation intensifies the pursuit, as Riley [Carmen Electra], Jude’s partner, also adds her own pressure to the chase, keeping pace with the others and complicating everyone’s motives. The target the criminals seek turns out to be diamonds, adding a costly edge to the confrontation and heightening the stakes for all involved. What follows is a tense firefight, a rapid scramble to outmaneuver the others, and a narrow path to survival. In the end, the hit men are nabbed, and Harlan emerges from the chaos unscathed, walking away with Tuesday by his side, a new chapter beginning as the dust settles.
