Hitman in the Hand of Buddha (1981): Cast & Plot

Wong Chin arrives in a quiet town to visit his sister and her husband, and his presence immediately unsettles troublemakers who have been targeting locals. With a straightforward sense of justice and a calm confidence, he quickly unsettles the local thugs by dealing out decisive punishment, showing that he won’t tolerate abuse of the townspeople. The arrival also brings a sharp-eyed discovery: his sister’s husband, the unfaithful and inept Ah Chu, who runs a busy rice shop, has been cheating on his sister. Despite this harsh information, the sister remains steadfast in her loyalty, and the family’s bonds are tested in the heat of the night’s violence and the steady march of retaliation.
