What Is Hemsöborna About?
The premise of Hemsöborna without spoilers, adapted from The People of Hemsö by August Strindberg and Peter Graves.
Carlsson arrives at the widowed Flod’s farm in the Stockholm archipelago to assist with its management. He encounters opposition from the widowed’s jealous son, Gusten, who prefers fishing over farming. When the owners decide to rent out several houses to city dwellers for summer holidays, the fragile balance on the estate is upset.
