What Is Badarna About?

On a hot summer day in Näsviken, a tiny northern Swedish village on the brink of disappearing amid structural change, tourists bring a modest boost to the local economy. Ironmonger Berglund cannot meet the demands of the temporary guests. Bud, whose wife Minni has turned to alcoholism because he neglects her, seeks comfort with a strong, straightforward woman whose sexual habits are uncomplicated.
