In Haddonfield, Illinois, on the fateful night of October 31, 1978, the narrative unfolds in a chilling atmosphere as it recounts the grim events following the original film. The story begins with the harrowing last moments faced by Laurie (Jamie Lee Curtis](/actor/jamie-lee-curtis)), who is desperately attempting to protect the two children she is babysitting, Brian Andrews and Kyle Richards. After sending them off to secure help in the aftermath of an invasion by the deranged psychopath Michael Myers (Dick Warlock), Laurie finds herself once again in the clutches of terror. She is rescued at the last moment by Dr. Sam Loomis (Donald Pleasence), who arrives just in time to shoot Michael off an upstairs balcony. But as the tension escalates, we learn that this is merely the beginning.
