Grandpa Was an Emperor (2023): Cast

This documentary follows Yeshi Kassa, great-granddaughter of Emperor Haile Selassie, as she investigates the fate of her relatives during the 1974 coup. While Yeshi and her sister were studying in Britain, the revolution deposed her great-grandfather, triggering a series of dangerous events for her parents and siblings. The film offers a rare and personal look at the collapse of a 3,000-year-old dynasty and how the royal family persevered through a tumultuous period in Ethiopian history.
