In a sun-blasted future year of 2068, Earth reels from a relentless onslaught of natural disasters—typhoons tearing across coasts, crushing tsunamis, severe droughts, and overwhelming floods. Against this stark, apocalyptic backdrop, a controversial Argentine scientist named Carlos Nahuel Goldstein proposes a radical theory: by destroying the Moon to straighten Earth’s tilted axis, the planet’s climate could be steadied and saved. The idea draws stern criticism from international communities, who see it as a dangerous gamble, yet the Argentine government opts to act unilaterally.

Driven by urgency and desperation, Argentina launches a covert mission titled Farewell, Beloved Moon with the aim of bombardment. The plan triggers alarm on the world stage, and major powers threaten severe economic sanctions in response. Faced with external pressure, the mission is abruptly halted, casting the crew of the Estanislao into a perilous, uncontrolled drift.
