English What Is Girl Talk About?
The premise of Girl Talk without spoilers.
This experimental film presents poet and theorist Fred Moten in a lush garden setting, wearing a striking velvet cape and crystal jewelry, challenging conventional gender coding. He performs a mesmerizing, continuous spinning motion, often obscured by diffused ambient light, creating a blurred, rotating effect. Moten lip-syncs to a jazz interpretation of the song "Girl Talk," originally performed by Tony Bennett, a prominent figure of 1960s popular culture.
