Roy Alex, an investigative journalist, digs into hawala money from the Middle East and crosses paths with Rahim Haji, a former MP and business tycoon invited by Haji’s driver Basheer. After a magazine profile costs him his seat a year earlier, Haji claims that the bulk of foreign reserves is concentrated along a Gulf-American belt—from Kottayam to the coastal town of Varkala—and he enlists Roy to help revive his business and to eliminate his rival Narendra Shetty. The pursuit blends political ambition with financial intrigue, as Roy follows a trail that hints at a larger network of wealth and power.
A van carrying a drama troupe leads Roy to a remote home where he encounters the owner, a businessman, and Chakrapani, the drama director who regularly presses for black money. Chakrapani’s demands set a dangerous tone, and when he discovers Roy’s intrusion, he uses his dogs to silence the trespassers. Rahim Haji tries to reach Roy, but learns of his death and heads out to confront Narendra Shetty in his own territory, only to be fatally shot for trespassing. Behind the scenes, Basheer’s betrayal of Haji—colluding with Shetty—deepens the political crisis and leaves Haji’s party reeling from a powerful blow.
To pursue the investigation, the Chief Minister, Chief Minister of Kerala, appoints Mohammed Sarkar, an IPS officer in the Tripura cadre, as SP. As the party stages a fast led by MLA Kunjalavi, a rift widens between police officers and party loyalists, setting the stage for a climactic showdown. Sarkar interrogates Chakrapani and Basheer, assembling enough evidence to implicate Shetty, and the confrontation escalates when Chakrapani is killed. When Shetty tries to kill Sarkar, his plan backfires and his ally, CI Gurumurthy, is killed in the crossfire. Fueled by fury, Sarkar moves to dismantle the conspiracy, destroying the warehouse and taking down Shetty, delivering a hard-won victory for justice and signaling the end of a perilous chain of betrayals.
