What Is Finding Her Beat About?
The premise of Finding Her Beat without spoilers.
Amid a frozen Minnesota winter, a Japanese taiko master and a Korean adoptee raised in North Dakota unite to recruit the world’s finest female taiko players—Tiffany Tamaribuchi, Kaoly Asano, Chieko Kojima, Megan Chao‑Smith and Jennifer Weir—to form an all‑women ensemble that challenges a male‑dominated tradition. Intense rehearsals blend diverse ages, languages and styles, forging deep friendships as they prepare for their debut, turning a quest for cultural spotlight into a broader story of resilience, vulnerability and empowerment.
