Eager to explore beyond FernGully, Pips expresses his longing for the outside world. In a frantic arrival, Batty warns that two human poachers are chasing them. The poachers, with their dogs, quickly seize three baby animals. Pips and the Beetle Boys pledge to track the hunters into town and free the babies, persuading Batty to be their guide.
