What Is Fear About?

Irene Wagner, married to renowned German scientist Professor Albert Wagner, is secretly involved with Erich Baumann. She hides the affair to protect her husband’s innocence and their seemingly perfect marriage, but the deception torments her with anxiety and guilt. When Johanna Schultze, Erich’s jealous former girlfriend, discovers the liaison, she begins to blackmail Irene, forcing her psychological anguish into a brutal, inescapable reality.
