In Dhaka, a tense countdown begins with a group of five men preparing for trouble—Nibras, Mubashir, Rohan, Bikash, and Rajiv—as they drift toward a fateful rendezvous at the Holey Artisan Bakery. Parallel to their plan, Faraaz’s family life is strained by discord, a domestic rift that hovers over him even as he ultimately joins his friends in the city. The bakery becomes the site where their paths collide, and what starts as a joint venture among teenagers and young men quickly spirals into a high-stakes hostage situation.

Inside the bakery, the mood shifts from routine to peril as captors and captives alike sense the fragility of every moment. The hostage crisis intensifies, and a police standoff unfolds without a clear blueprint or trusted blueprint to guide a safe resolution. The government weighs every option, and with hostage safety in mind, officials advise aborting the mission, a decision that triggers a global surge of media attention and relentless coverage that adds pressure from all sides.

External voices join the pressure as Faraaz’s mother, Simeen, confronts the head of the Rab (RAB) and adds a human face to the crisis. The public gaze widens, and successive hours tilt between calculated risk and urgent improvisation as authorities scramble for a path to ending the siege without sacrificing those inside.

Midnight comes, and the tension spikes again when a direct confrontation erupts between Nibras and Faraaz. A fragile pause follows, but the momentary truce proves fleeting as circumstances push Rohan toward a desperate attempt to leave, which ends in tragedy. In the wake of the clash, Nibras declares a grim offer: hostages would be freed, with the notable exception of Faraaz’s friends, a move that escalates the emotional stakes inside the room. A charged exchange between the captors and the young men culminates in a bold, heartbreaking declaration from Faraaz before the story takes its irreversible turn.

As the siege nears its end, reinforcements flood in from multiple security units—the BAF, DB, Ansar, CID, and the Counterterrorism and Transnational Crime Unit—bringing a decisive, final assault to break the hold of the attackers. Yet before the operatives can move to secure the last moments, Nibras takes the life of Faraaz and his friends, sealing a brutal chapter in the crisis.

In the aftermath, the family’s reverberations linger. Simeen appears again, presenting the weight of the tragedy alongside recognition, as she presents him with the Mother Teresa Memorial International Award, a somber tribute that underscores the cost of the events that unfolded and the memory that remains. The film closes on a note that blends sorrow with a solemn acknowledgment of resilience, leaving viewers to reflect on the human consequences behind a night of terror.
