Set in Czechoslovakia in 1983, the film follows the journey of Anna, a talented sprinter with aspirations of competing in the Olympics. After being selected for the national team, she is introduced to a specialized state-run medical program that administers anabolic steroids known as “Stromba” through her trainer, Roman Zach. While this treatment enhances her performance, Anna soon becomes aware of the detrimental effects associated with steroid use, prompting her to eventually discontinue the drugs.
