Spoilers ahead
Laura Mars, a captivating and mysterious fashion photographer, has gained notoriety for her ability to portray stylized violence through her striking images. This artistic choice incites backlash from both the media and feminists, who find her work to be exploitative. As Laura gears up to reveal her controversial photography book, The Eyes of Mars, she becomes plagued by vivid and disconcerting dreams that blur the boundaries between what is real and what is merely a figment of her imagination. The nightmare escalates dramatically when she witnesses a horrific murder during a photoshoot in Columbus Circle, a crime that chillingly replicates one of her own iconic photos.
