Tyler Rake, a seasoned mercenary, finds himself embroiled in a fierce battle against the security forces of Bangladesh on a bridge nestled in the heart of Dhaka. Bearing severe wounds from unseen enemies, Tyler takes a brief moment to regroup, contemplating his next strategic move.

Two days earlier, in Mumbai, India, young Ovi Mahajan, played by Rudhraksh Jaiswal and son of a jailed Indian drug lord, slips away from his heavily guarded home to visit a club. His life is profoundly constrained, leaving school as the sole opportunity to interact with peers his age. Persuaded by friends to join a party where he hopes to impress a girl from school, Ovi’s night takes a dark turn when he is kidnapped by corrupt police officers in cahoots with the ruthless rival drug lord, Amir Asif, portrayed by Priyanshu Painyuli.

In a desperate move, Saju Rav, played by Randeep Hooda, a former soldier with a strong bond to Ovi, approaches Ovi’s father in prison. Refusing to pay the ransom, as it would tarnish his son’s father’s reputation, Ovi Sr., embodied by Pankaj Tripathi, orders Saju to retrieve his son, threatening dire consequences for him and his family if he fails.

Tyler, portrayed by Chris Hemsworth, is drawn into this chaotic situation when mercenary Nik Khan, played by Golshifteh Farahani, recruits him for the daunting mission of rescuing Ovi from the clutches of Dhaka’s gangs. Tyler, who possesses a reckless inclination toward danger, is adept at undertaking perilous assignments for Nik. With Asif commanding a significant force in the city, the operation to extract Ovi appears nearly impossible.

Gifted with remarkable tenacity and an ability to endure extreme conditions, Tyler leads the extraction team, initially posing as a payer for Ovi’s ransom. He successfully locates and liberates Ovi, eliminating his captors in the process, aided by a sniper, G, positioned strategically outside.

However, the excitement quickly escalates when Asif learns of Ovi’s rescue and orders an urgent lockdown of Dhaka to prevent their escape. Tyler takes Ovi to a dilapidated factory to regroup, providing nourishment to alleviate the boy’s plight before setting out towards a waiting extraction point located over two kilometers away.

In a surprising twist, complications arise when Ovi’s father’s men neglect to send the ransom, forcing Saju to betray Tyler and eliminate his team. Overhead, Nik observes the unraveling situation through satellite surveillance, alerting Tyler to new threats.

As Tyler and Ovi navigate through the chaos, Saju’s true intentions are revealed during an intense pursuit involving car chases and brutal combat against the police forces in Dhaka. A climactic confrontation leads to Tyler’s escape, during which he fakes their deaths to evade capture.

Injured and seeking refuge, Tyler learns from Nik about a helicopter rendezvous and contemplates abandoning Ovi. Yet haunted by the loss of his own son, he refuses, choosing instead to fight for the child’s safety.

Tyler’s journey takes them through an abandoned sewer as they avoid police detection, ultimately seeking shelter with an old squad mate of his named Gaspar, played by David Harbour. The situation takes a fatal turn when Gaspar reveals a lucrative bounty placed on Ovi’s head, and a confrontation leads to Gaspar’s demise.

Forced to ally with Saju to escape, the two must deftly navigate through danger, drawing on their skills to counter Asif’s forces. Multiple escapades, including a pivotal bridge showdown, culminate in a violent crossfire.

As Tyler covers their exit, a life-threatening injury forces him to the river’s edge, where he succumbs to the trauma but takes solace in knowing Ovi’s safety. Ultimately, Ovi, Nik, and the remaining extraction team find refuge in Mumbai.

Fast forward eight months, Nik confronts Asif and eliminates him, while Ovi Jr. returns to his mundane life, submerging himself in his school’s pool, echoing Tyler’s past, haunted yet hopeful as he glimpses a familiar shadow mirrored against the water’s surface.
