Jamie John McCrea, a lively sixteen-year-old living in England, is a young boy with big dreams and an even bigger heart. His world revolves around his family, friends, and his passion for performing, especially his desire to become a drag queen. Despite being the only openly gay student at his school and facing frequent bullying, Jamie remains determined to pursue his dreams of self-expression and acceptance.

His mother, Margaret, is a supportive and loving woman who always tries to protect and encourage him, even when her own worries about the future weigh heavily on her. Jamie’s only true friend is Pritti, played by Lucie Shorthouse, a kind-hearted girl who believes in Jamie and his talents.
