What Is Everest Dark About?
The premise of Everest Dark without spoilers.
Mount Everest draws tourists seeking to conquer its peak and share their accomplishment. However, the mountain has also become a burial ground for those who have perished during climbs. The film explores a lesser-known perspective: the local population living near the mountain, whose worldview differs greatly from that of Western visitors. They believe in powerful mountain gods demanding respect for nature. To appease these deities and honor the fallen, the renowned Nepalese mountaineer Mingma Tsiri Sherpa undertakes a perilous final ascent to retrieve a body.
