Chantal, Rifka Lodeizen is a young hairdresser and manicurist who, by night, escorts wealthy men for money, but there is no sex involved because she loves her boyfriend Robin Bastiaan Ragas. Her double life comes into sharper focus as she negotiates love, loyalty, and livelihood in a world that quietly grimly rewards risk.
One day, the old, lonely, terminally ill millionaire Wessel Jacobsen Tom Jansen enters the scene with a proposal: he offers to marry Chantal to secure companionship in his final days. After long hesitation, Chantal and Robin decide that the lure of the 6 million euro inheritance is too powerful to ignore, even as they brace for a marriage that promises more complication than comfort.
