What Is Ernesto About?
The premise of Ernesto without spoilers.
Freddy Maemura Hurtado, a young man of Japanese-Bolivian descent, travels to Cuba to pursue his dream of studying medicine. There, he encounters the revolutionary Che Guevara, a pivotal moment that changes the course of his life. As civil war erupts in Bolivia, Hurtado feels compelled to join Guevara’s revolutionary army, adopting the alias “Ernesto Medico” to fight alongside him.
