Our Echo Score gives it 30/100, strongest in rewatch factor (55) and weakest in sensory experience (25).

End of the World Echo Score Breakdown

The film overall fails to deliver a compelling disaster experience. Direction and pacing are uneven, acting is consistently poor, visual effects appear low‑budget, and narrative coherence is lacking, while a few unintentionally humorous moments provide slight entertainment. Although the film possesses a modest rewatch appeal for viewers who enjoy campy, unintentionally comedic fare, this aspect does not offset its fundamental shortcomings. Consequently the movie rates poorly across most criteria, resulting in a low aggregate score.

Our own 0–100 rating, built from five aspects: art, character, story, the sensory experience and how well a film rewatches.

  • Art & Craft 25

The film's art and craft elements are notably deficient. Direction lacks a clear vision, editing shows abrupt cuts, cinematography is constrained by cheap lighting, production design and CGI appear low‑budget and often unconvincing. These shortcomings result in a weak visual and technical foundation.

  • Character & Emotion 30

Characterization and performances fall short throughout the movie. Acting is broadly criticized as poor, with flat delivery and lack of emotional depth; chemistry among the family members feels artificial; occasional individual performances are noted as marginally competent but insufficient to elevate the ensemble. Overall the character work contributes little to audience engagement.

  • Story & Flow 25

The story presents a disjointed and implausible narrative. Plot premises such as localized solar storms causing varied disasters lack coherence; pacing is erratic, with scenes that drag or jump abruptly; originality is undermined by clichéd disaster tropes and nonsensical character motivations. Consequently the storyline fails to sustain interest.

  • Sensory Experience 25

The sensory experience is largely hampered by substandard audio-visual elements. Soundtrack is described as generic and unengaging; sound design offers little impact; visual style suffers from cheap CGI, inconsistent lighting, and lack of cohesive aesthetic; occasional moments provide brief visual interest but are outweighed by overall low production quality. The net sensory impression remains weak.

  • Rewatch Factor 55

The film possesses a modest rewatch appeal rooted in its unintentional humor. Many viewers report laughing at the absurd special effects, stilted dialogue, and over‑the‑top disaster scenarios, which can become entertaining upon repeated viewings; however, the novelty quickly fades for those seeking substantive content. While a niche audience may find occasional value, the overall rewatch factor remains limited.
