Shankar Narayana, Prakash Raj, is an independent MLA from Shankar Nagar, a Hyderabad constituency named after him, celebrated as a champion for the poor. His rise in the political arena unfolds against a backdrop of public service, grassroots visibility, and a reputation built on empathy for the marginalized. When a truck collides with the car he and his brother are traveling in, Shankar slips into a coma, and the world assumes the worst. Yet his family clings to hope even as others write him off as dead.

His son, Ajay, is a police officer based in Mumbai who wages war on organized crime, specifically targeting the notorious don Nayak. On a high-stakes undercover mission in Turkey, Ajay crosses paths with Prashanthi, the daughter of his senior police officer, and he finds himself drawn to her. She initially rejects his advances, so he pretends to abandon the pursuit, knowing that the undercover operation is critical to dismantling Nayak’s criminal network. The plan bears fruit when he arrests Nayak’s brother Bunty, marking a significant breakthrough in the fight against drug trade, extortion, and arms trafficking.

Back in India, Ajay and Prashanthi’s meetings resume, and a delicate romance begins to bloom. He urges Prashanthi’s father to recognize her work and loosen the strictures around her professional life, a gesture that oddly resonates with her, helping her views to soften. The unexpected warmth between them deepens the tension as Ajay’s mission intensifies.

In a harrowing turn, Nayak intensifies his pursuit of Ajay. Bunty and the police commissioner are killed in the crossfire, and Shankar’s devoted follower Sivayya reveals to Ajay a grim conspiracy: Nayak, along with Shankar’s rival Mallesh Gowda and other loyalists such as Meka Narasinga Rao, Ambarpet Ganesh, and others, were behind the accident that left Shankar comatose. This revelation fuels Ajay’s vow to eradicate those responsible, setting off a high-stakes plan to neutralize his enemies.

When Shankar finally awakens, doctors warn that his life could be jeopardized by shock or distress. Ajay conceals the full truth about the accident and relocates his family to a mansion that has fallen into abandon—now repurposed for film-making. He crafts an elaborate facade: a dummy political setup within the mansion and, under the guise of a reality TV program, manipulates the industry’s signposts to serve a larger agenda.

Under this ruse, Ajay tempts an aspiring but struggling actor, Padmasri, by insinuating that a television channel backed by a celebrity name—Nagarjuna—would offer handsome remuneration for a convincing performance. At the same time, real estate schemes entangle two other hopefuls, Bokka Venkata Rao and Mallesh Goud, in Ajay’s broader criminal nexus. Throughout this upheaval, Ajay keeps the entire ruse from Shankar, presenting himself as an MLA who fulfills his father’s legacy and ideals.

The narrative tightens as Shankar’s beloved family life progresses: he marries Prashanthi, buoyed by the consent of her family, a moment that brings him great happiness. Yet the world outside remains perilous. Nayak infiltrates Hyderabad with lethal intent, aiming to end Ajay’s pursuit once and for all. In a brutal sequence, Nayak eliminates Ganesh and Mallesh without the knowledge of their allies, while Ajay and the others respond in kind during a dramatic encounter that shakes the city’s fragile balance.

Nayak’s own downfall comes during a dramatic Ramlila event, where his grip on power collapses and his henchmen fall to the hands of his enemies. Nayak himself is killed, marking a climactic turning point in the battle between Ajay’s calculated strategy and Nayak’s criminal empire. In the aftermath, Shankar learns of the depth of Ajay’s drama and is touched to see the extent of his son’s devotion and love.

The film closes with a sense of restored family bonds and a renewed commitment to justice, as a recuperated Shankar surveys the parallels between his legendary political career and the sacrifices his son made in service of their shared ideals.
