At a lavish party, Roger Fallon—now a hardened misogynist after a disastrous marriage—converses with the happily‑married Herbert Drake. Herbert wagers that the next woman who enters won’t let Fallon kiss her within 48 hours. Fallon accepts, only to see Herbert’s stunning wife, Jeanne Drake, step into the room, turning the bet on its head.
