An Akita puppy named Rock lives in a secluded cabin with his mother, Shiro, a devoted guardian loved by the forest creatures. One winter night, a wily fox named Akamimi challenges Shiro and lures her toward the mountain home of his boss, the tiger known as Killer. There, Killer strikes and mauls Shiro to death, shattering Rock’s peaceful world and setting him on a path of vengeance when spring arrives.

Grief becomes resolve as Rock leaves the forest behind to seek allies. He reaches a bustling city and finds a troupe of street dogs who agree to stand with him. Rumors spread back through the woods that Rock has assembled a formidable army to challenge Killer, prompting Akamimi to order Rock sent out to sea in a barrel. A kind girl rescues him, and Rock begins a new life with her, far from the bitter memory of his mother.

Back in the forest, the news of captivity reaches Rock only later, as the forest animals—along with Killer and Akamimi—are captured and placed in a city zoo. When Rock learns that Killer still terrorizes the other animals, he returns to the city and reunites with his band. Together with his forest friends, they rally dogs from around town to mount a bold defense against the zoo’s formidable residents. The climactic confrontation unfolds on a speeding rollercoaster, where Rock and Killer duel and Killer plunges to the ground.

Freedom returns to the forest and the city as the dogs march down a sunlit street in celebration, a testament to courage, loyalty, and the power of unlikely alliances.
