In 1970s New York, a quiet young man's life takes a dark turn after discovering the vibrant energy of disco music. Haunted by a traumatic childhood, he struggles to control violent urges, leading him to transform into a dangerous serial killer. He is eventually exiled to Montreal, where his murderous impulses continue to escalate, fueled by the pulsing rhythms that triggered his descent.
