In a sealed, windowless room with stark white walls and a single clock, eight people gather for a high-stakes interview to become the CEO of a powerful company. The room atmosphere is clinical, almost claustrophobic, and a chilling rumor hangs in the air: the former CEO, who died by suicide in this very space, might still roam as a ghost. The company representative explains the only rule of the test: survive one hour, remain sane, and earn the coveted chair.

The eight participants form a tight, uneasy group: five men and three women. Among the men, one presents as the smart, composed figure in white; another wears a dark, almost villainous black; a third is visibly cowardly and fidgets, constantly biting his nails; a fourth is a clairvoyant whose laughter rings hollowly whenever he claims to glimpse a ghost; and a tall, imposing man who conceals his face behind a mask. The women present are equally distinct: one draped in a saree, another dressed in a sharp office skirt and suit, and the third dressed casually in jeans and a shirt. The tension between them intensifies as the clock starts ticking.

Very soon the pressure reveals itself in dangerous ways. The villain taunts everyone and bullies the tall man into removing his mask, but the masked figure refuses. After about ten minutes, the lights fail. When they return, the tall man is found hanging from the ceiling. The group mutters about the ghost that supposedly kills in ten-minute intervals, and they decide that cooperation is their only chance at survival. The clairvoyant breaks into hysterical laughter, insisting he can see spirits and that they are the source of the recurring danger.

Another ten minutes pass, and the clairvoyant is abruptly killed, followed by the coward. Suspicion quickly falls on the villain, a confrontation ensues, and the smart man knocks him out. With the villain down, only the ladies and the smart man remain as potential allies—or threats.

A shocking twist arrives: the villain awakens, claiming to be a clone of the smart guy, a lookalike who has been living in the same space. The smart man disarms him with a gun that emerges from a hole in the wall, but the apparent clone insists he is the assistant of the lady in the suit. The two plot to eliminate the other two women; one woman in jeans is killed by the villain, and the others fall soon after. The woman in the suit is killed by the smart man, and the villain is killed in turn, leaving only the saree-clad woman and the smart man.

As the reality unravels, it’s revealed that the two remaining participants are lovers, and in a brutal moment the man’s plan is to sacrifice himself so she can rise as CEO. She strikes a counterblow, stabbing herself, and he contemplates his own end as the timer nears zero. The door finally opens as the one-hour mark passes, but the shock of what has unfolded lingers.

The aftermath shifts abruptly. The smart man is escorted to sit opposite a doctor, and the truth emerges: the man is Ashwin, the true CEO who never died. He has been grappling with multiple personality disorder, and the eight other personalities that populated the room were none other than his imagined selves. The “treatment” was designed to force him to confront and eliminate his alter egos. In a chilling turn, he defeats seven personalities, but the eighth—an actual doctor—has taken over, leaving Ashwin still wrestling with MPD. The film closes on a dark, unsettling note as Ashwin lets out a final, uneasy laugh, hinting that the inner battle continues even as the room empties around him.
