The story

What Is Devin Townsend: The Moth About?

The premise of Devin Townsend: The Moth without spoilers.

Visionary musician Devin Townsend presents his ambitious rock opera, The Moth. This decade-in-the-making composition explores the human experience from birth to death, brought to life with a large-scale production. Featuring the Noord Nederlands Orkest symphony orchestra, a sixty-member choir, and Townsend’s band—including Mike Keneally, Joseph Stephenson, Darby Todd, and James Leach—the performance showcases his innovative approach to metal, progressive rock, and ambient music. Initially staged exclusively in Groningen, this unique artistic legacy is now available to a wider audience.
