Maya, Rosario Dawson, is an ambitious artist and a college senior whose winter semester marks a stark turning point. At a fraternity party, she meets Jared, a charismatic student whose smooth talk hides a pattern of manipulation. He sweeps her off her feet with eloquent compliments and careful charm, inviting her to dinner and then to his apartment under the guise of conversation.
