Date A Live: Mayuri Judgment 2015

Following her concert, Miku Izayoi invites Shido Itsuka, Tohka Yatogami, Kotori Itsuka, Yoshino Himekawa, and the Yamai twins Kaguya and Yuzuru to a reserved indoor pool. The gathering feels like a calm moment before the tensions rise, as the group enjoys the moment together and shares a quiet, lingering energy after the performance.

As the group heads home, Shido begins to see a mysterious girl who is only visible to him, a fleeting figure that vanishes as suddenly as she appears, leaving him to wonder about what he just witnessed. The incident lingers in his thoughts, hinting at something unusual lurking beneath the surface of the everyday world.

The next morning brings a startling discovery: a gigantic sphere hovers above Tengu City, invisible to everyone except the Fraxinus’ radar. Reine Murasame suspects the sphere might be formed from the Spirit energies that the six girls unconsciously emit out of deep feelings for Shido, and she proposes a bold plan to ease the situation. She suggests that Shido date each of the six girls in turn to relieve their emotional tension and cause the sphere to vanish, beginning with Kaguya, Miku, Yoshino, Yuzuru, Kotori, and Tohka. The idea is delicate and fraught with emotion, but it reflects the strange bond that has grown between Shido and the girls. The mysterious watcher continues to follow Shido as he embarks on these dates, quietly observing every step.

On his final date with Tohka, which had been interrupted earlier by Origami Tobiichi, Shido meets the mysterious girl again, who introduces herself as Mayuri. He learns that she was born from the girls’ Spirit powers that he sealed away and that she is connected to the sphere known as Kerubiel. The moment marks a turning point, as Mayuri explains her mission to balance the moods of the girls and keep the situation under control. After Mayuri says farewell to Shido, Kerubiel transforms into its Angel form and launches an attack. Tohka and the other girls rush to defend her, and they manage to rescue Mayuri from the first onslaught. Kerubiel continues its assault, targeting Mayuri and challenging the girls in their Spirit forms. Reine soon realizes that Mayuri’s Angel becomes more dangerous because of her deep jealousy over the girls dating Shido. When Shido expresses his desire to save Mayuri, the girls’ Spirit powers briefly unseal, helping them fight Kerubiel more effectively.

After rescuing Mayuri, Kerubiel undergoes another transformation and intensifies its assault. As Shido fights to protect everyone, Kurumi Tokisaki secretly steps in to aid him, while the girls’ powers gathered by Mayuri begin to resonate with Tohka, granting her a new Astral Dress. With Mayuri’s help, by kissing Shido, Tohka is able to destroy Kerubiel. Mayuri begins to fade away as the kiss seals her intangible presence, leaving Shido with a necklace and a lollipop—tokens reminiscent of the ones he had given to Yuzuru and Kotori on their respective dates earlier. In the days that follow, Shido and Tohka watch the city’s repairs progress, and the other girls join them, asking for more dates with Shido, though he chooses to step away from their pursuits for the moment.
