Creators: The Past 2019

Set against the closing chapter of 2012, this film offers a fictional rationale for why the Mayan prophecy never came to pass. As a rare planetary alignment approaches, a total eclipse will be visible from Earth, and the eight members of the Galactic Council—creators who oversee their own worlds—convene to weigh the coming cosmic shift. The Council’s knowledge and the fate of humanity are stored in mystical objects known as the lens, which hold planet-by-planet data, the DNA of diverse species, and the memories of humanity itself. In this grand setup, the cast of powerful figures comes to life: Master of Faith, Gérard Depardieu, Lord Oghma, William Shatner, Lord Kal, Bruce Payne, and Lord Kanaff, the regent of Earth, Marc Fiorini.

The story pivots on a rebellion led by Lord Kanaff, after which the Galactic Council loses control of the lens that contains humanity’s entire history and memories. Within the lens lies a provocative truth—that mankind was created by aliens and that religions have served as a tool to keep humanity under control. Into this upheaval steps Sofy, a young woman who was abducted as a child by aliens. She is entrusted by the Creators with the mission to locate the missing lens, a task that will take her across dimensions and through perilous revelations. Sofy is portrayed by Jennifer Mischiati, whose presence anchors the emotional center of the quest.

To carry out this mission, the Council dispatches the formidable Lady Airre, a warrior figure who embodies the otherworldly reach of the Creators. Lady Airre is brought to life by Eleonora Fani, and her pursuit of Lord Kanaff intensifies the interstellar cat-and-mouse game that drives the plot. Meanwhile, another Creator, Lord Kal, portrayed by Bruce Payne, works in the shadows to seize power over Earth through the Illuminati, with the audacious aim of replacing his own dying planet.

Together, these threads weave a narrative that blends cosmic politics with a hidden history of humanity. The lens serves as a galaxy-spanning archive, and the quest to recover it becomes a test of faith, power, and truth. The film builds its world through the clash between celestial governance and earthly ambition, inviting viewers to question whom we owe our origins to and what forces shape the beliefs that guide civilization.
