Ever since Seth Warner’s wife died two years ago, his life has gone to pieces. In his rage, he affronts God, who seemingly answers by stopping his suicide attempt and by crippling his dog, leaving Seth battered and hospital-bound. This moment marks the cold beginning of a reckless vow: to break all of the Ten Commandments as a way to confront faith, fate, and the fragility of moral order.
Seth moves in with his sister-in-law, Rachel Luce, and her reporter-husband, Harry Luce, and what starts as a provocative experiment quickly spirals into a shared, dangerous experiment in transgression. The house becomes a stage for increasingly audacious acts, with Rachel and Harry drawn deeper into Seth’s defiant project even as their own lives tilt toward chaos.
