Willow Creek, Alaska, is facing economic hardship after the town’s main industry, the cannery, shuts down and many residents find themselves out of work. Ray John Schneider and Pete Tom Wopat are brothers who drive trucks for a living; they share the same trade, but their personalities are as different as night and day, which adds a quiet tension to their journey together.

Pete [Tom Wopat] is trying to figure out how to handle his rebellious son Michael [Zachary Ansley], who resents his father’s constant time on the road. At the same time, Ray [John Schneider] wrestles with his own troubles, including a pregnant wife who had left Pete for him in the past, adding a layer of complexity to their bond.
