The film opens with a haunting image: an unknown woman writes a suicide note and hangs herself from a ceiling fan, while a man clutches a child and stares at the lifeless figure.

In a stark, black-and-white flashback, Nilanjana Payel Sarkar — also known as Trina — and her cynical boyfriend Ritwick Chiranjeet Chakraborty spar over parties and movies, setting a tense mood that threads through the story.

Back in the present, Joy Parambrata Chatterjee discusses making a film with a producer, and he invites Trina Aparna Sen, along with Shakyo Goutam Ghose and Dipto Chiranjeet Chakraborty, to collaborate on four short films whose shared theme is death.

The four of them gather at Joy’s house and agree to travel to Henry’s Island, Bakkhali, to present their scripts to the producer, united by the common thread of mortality.

On the road, Shakyo recounts a story he’ll pitch: a TV serial writer who kills his characters in brutal ways, then suffers a heart attack upon seeing their deaths and dies himself.

Dipto reveals his own idea—about a cigarette addict who is nearly home free until he steps out at midnight and is struck by a car, a fatal twist that underscores the minute fragility of life.

Their car breaks down, and they take shelter in a bungalow owned by Mr. Gupta, a setback that tightens the group’s dynamics and raises the stakes.

Trina tells a story of her own, where a dead woman reaches out to the living through planchette, conjuring connections between spirits and the world of the living.

The next morning, Joy shares a tale about his brother who has fallen into madness, and about a wife who dies because Trina, Dipto, and Shakyo abandoned his brother’s movie during their disagreements. He intends to kill the four of them, placing them at a table for Russian roulette; the gun misfires, striking Joy instead of Trina, and Joy dies.

The movie concludes with Trina and Dipto visiting Joy’s brother, now a resident of a mental hospital, where he cannot recognise them, leaving the survivors to confront the consequences of their creative and personal conflicts.
