Chico Buarque: Carioca – Ao Vivo (2007): Cast

"Carioca" marks Chico Buarque’s first DVD of original songs since 1998’s “As Cidades.” Under the musical direction of Luiz Cláudio Ramos and produced by Vinícius França, it blends the choro‑canção “Subúrbio,” the film‑written “Sempre,” and a host of other tracks such as “Voltei a Cantar,” “Mambembe,” “O Futebol,” “Renata Maria,” “Morena na Angola,” “Ela É Dançarina,” “Eu Te Amo,” “Bolero Blues,” “Bye Bye Brasil,” and many more. In this work the artist celebrates Rio with the youthful vigor that earned him his famous nickname.
