Casanova 2015

Giacomo Casanova is a famous billionaire playboy who owns Casanova’s Eternal Spring, an international chain of flower boutiques. He commands a loyal entourage of female staff, friends, and former girlfriends who will do anything for him. The film opens with a daring robbery carried out by four criminals who blend in as guests at a wedding hall, the target clearly in sight among the wealth surrounding Casanova.

Casanova notices the men but chooses not to stop them right away, keeping his own plan close. The following day brings the wedding ceremony, and Casanova, aided by a friend at a TV channel (without revealing his intentions), hatches a live telecast to trap the robbers. But the wedding is postponed for unforeseen reasons, and the robbers pull back from their plot. Meanwhile, the TV crew still shows up, and Casanova pivots again, announcing a new live romance reality show called FALL IN LOVE.

With calculated moves, he engineers a scenario where two people from the robbery gang are drawn toward Hanna and Ann Mary, their events filmed with hidden cameras for the show. The plan begins to work: Hanna falls for one of the robbers, spurred by Casanova’s whispered encouragement. When the robbers attempt to seize a sword, Casanova, masked, intervenes and disarms them. The show’s popularity soars, but it also stirs trouble for Hanna, Ann Mary, and the robbers as the lines between reality and spectacle blur.

Hanna presses Casanova for answers, and he finally shares a flashback that explains the spark behind his curiosity about love. In the Dubai years, Casanova mingled with several women while Zacariah, a magazine reporter, chronicled his escapades. Sameera Zacharia, daughter of Zacharia, helps him when danger looms, and the two become friends. When Casanova returns to Europe, he resumes flirting with others, and Sameera waits for him, hoping for something real. On a subsequent Dubai holiday, jealousy and hurt surface as Sameera imagines Casanova’s affections will fade. She fabricates a lover she claims to have, and Casanova’s jealousy surfaces in return. He begins to understand that his feelings for Sameera are different from his usual conquests, and he realizes he may be in love.

At a major Dubai fair, Sameera wears a mask to surprise him, but four robbers appear with the same mask. The police move in, Sameera is caught, and she is shot and dies on the spot. Casanova returns to his room, heartbroken, and news of Sameera’s death flashes across the screen. He rushes to tell the police, but they do not listen. This ends the flashback.

Back in the present, Casanova explains that the aim of the FALL IN LOVE show was to give the robbers a taste of real emotion. He then captures the robbers on camera and forces them to testify to the public that Sameera was not part of their gang. The reveal shifts the narrative, and the robbers confess that Alexi killed Sameera. When Alexi tries to flee, Casanova pursues him and ends the threat with a fatal shot, avenging Sameera’s death, before surrendering to the police.
