What Is Buratino, Son of Pinocchio About?
The premise of Buratino, Son of Pinocchio without spoilers.
The film feels like a mash‑up of Repo Man, Oliver! and Pinocchio, presenting an off‑beat Estonian reinterpretation of Aleksey Nikolayevich Tolstoy’s wooden protagonist Buratino. Doctors in the story dub him “boyus woodenus.” His pure mother wishes upon a star for a child, and the wish is answered instantly by a splinter‑like birth, delivering a newborn wooden Buratino.
