
The film follows Dan Brooks, fed up with tycoon J.L. Higgins’ control over his family. After quitting his managerial job at Higgins’ paper‑box factory, Dan devotes himself to his racehorse Broadway Bill. With little money, he is jailed over a $150 debt for horse feed, but a sudden fraud scheme offers a possible way out.
