Blood of Dracula’s Castle 1969

Count Dracula [Alexander D’Arcy] and his vampire wife, the Countess Townsend [Paula Raymond], occupy Falcon Rock Castle in modern-day Arizona, living under the shadow of their titles. When the castle’s owner dies, the property passes to a photographer named Glen Cannon [Gene Otis Shayne], who plans to move in with his fiancée Liz Arden [Jennifer Bishop]. He drives out to the castle to tell the Townsends they must vacate, but his car breaks down, forcing him and Liz to spend the night under the same roof.

The Townsends are vampires who sleep in coffins and lure young women to the castle to be drained by their loyal butler, George [John Carradine], who also crafts real Bloody Marys for the couple, poured from martini glasses. George and Mango, the hunchback, keep several young women chained in the basement, and they perform ritual sacrifices by burning one of them at the stake in homage to “the Great God Luna.” Meanwhile, Johnny [Robert Dix] moves through the night as a serial killer when the moonlight strikes him, a transformation that changes depending on which version you watch—the theatrical cut or the late-night-TV edition that adds werewolf scenes.

Glen and Liz accidentally witness one of the women being sacrificed in the cellar, and the Townsends press Glen to sell the castle to them. In the ensuing confrontation, George is killed, the remaining prisoners are freed, Mango is shot, struck with an ax, and set afire before dying. The vampires are exposed to sunlight and dissolve into dust, blotting out their presence in the castle.

Glen and Liz decide not to stay in the castle after all, and drive off together. Yet the final image hints at lingering shadows of the night: two bats emerge from the ashes and fly away.
