As the shadows of his tumultuous past loom large, Cliff grapples with the repercussions of a scandalous affair with the CEO’s wife, which led to accusations of embezzlement and ultimately the tragic downfall of his former boss. Having taken the blame for this devastating chain of events, Cliff’s once-promising career as a traveling salesman of defibrillators has vanished, leaving him struggling to secure steady work.

In a desperate attempt to reclaim his life, Cliff accepts a dubious invitation from his old colleague Ricky to reinvent himself within the seedy underbelly of the local gang as a drug and gun runner, cloaked in his familiar salesman guise. However, as he prepares for his inaugural shipment of contraband, a betrayal unfolds; Ricky steals the entire load, leaving Cliff feeling trapped and desperate.

Fearing that Ricky’s treachery is designed to frame him for the theft, Cliff cleverly alerts the gang’s leader to their whereabouts, shifting the power dynamic in this dangerous game of deceit. Throughout their fraught exchanges, it becomes evident that Cliff played a significant role in pushing his former CEO into illicit activities, which indirectly resulted in the CEO’s demise.
