Based on a script by Andrzej Żuławski, this film presents a compelling and unusual dialogue between a father and son, blending nostalgia with intense emotions and dark humor. It offers a stylized look at Polish society through the experiences of those marginalized by the extreme right. The "bird talk" of the title is a coded language used by a group of outcasts, including a troubled history teacher, a former Polish studies instructor, a housekeeper, a florist, and a film student. They use irony, song, and literary quotes to defend themselves against societal pressures.
