Araka, a tribesman, turns a profit by extracting medicinal compounds from Ayurvedic plants within his territory and selling them. In parallel, Sudheendra, a dedicated priest, pursues years of penance with the guidance of a sage, seeking deeper spiritual or medicinal understanding.

One day, a drug seller arrives, buying Araka’s products and turning a profit. He pushes for a truckload more, but Araka’s assistant explains that producing such quantities is hard due to a shortage of labor. The seller suggests a grim shortcut: recruit from nearby villages, even by kidnapping. During a festival, Araka’s men suddenly attack and seize the villagers. A young man named Anji fights to stop them, determined to protect his sister Alamelamma and his girlfriend Chinminiki, but he is overpowered and cast out by Araka.

The tension escalates when Araka’s assistant intercedes, but Araka’s wrath erupts, and he decapitates the assistant. With the villagers captured, Anji is left despondent, and in a moment of despair he takes his own life in the cave of Sudheendra. Yet the sky itself seems to respond with a supernatural sign, and the sage perceives this celestial phenomenon as a summons. In a startling turn, Anji’s soul is taken by the heavenly force, and the truth behind Araka’s cruelty begins to unfold.

What follows is a revelation: Anji is the doppelgänger of Bhajarangi, a forest officer who once opposed Araka. The old enmity between Bhajarangi and Araka’s father, Jagrava, runs through the tale. Bhajarangi had killed Jagrava and toppled Araka’s tyrannical rule, a history that explains Araka’s brutal decision to poison the village and his betrayal of his own people. The ensuing tragedy—Anji’s death and the villagers’ suffering—hammers home the cycle of violence that plagues this land.

Now, Anji’s body is brought to Sudheendra, who taps into his own kundalini energy to reach the divine. The ritual summons the soul of Bhajarangi, and the deity’s presence allows Bhajarangi to possess Anji and confront Araka directly. The two paths collide as Bhajarangi enters Araka’s lair and finally brings his rule to an end.

In the aftermath, Bhajarangi urges Sudheendra to spread awareness about Ayurveda, turning a tale of vengeance into a mission of healing and knowledge. Heeding the plea, Sudheendra passes along his understanding to Anji before dying, and, through a remarkable turn of fate, Anji is revived. The story closes with Anji continuing the priest’s mission, carrying forward the message of Ayurveda and the balance between power and compassion.
