Anna and Marina, a loving couple, decide they want to have a baby. Their best friends, Stefano and Tony, find themselves entangled in a complicated situation when Anna and Marina argue over who will carry the child. Stefano's suggestion that Marina seek help from another man leads to a dramatic fallout and Marina’s disappearance. Determined to mend their friendship and help Anna and Marina, Stefano resorts to extreme measures to finance artificial insemination.
